비언어적 행동의 중요성

Monverbal behavior provides much of the information that speakers process and manioulate in their social interaction. Speakers rely more on nonverbal cues than on verbal ones in determining and interpreting communicative situations. In fact, more than 65percent of the social meaning of a typical two-person exchange is carried by nonverbal cues. According to an anthropologist, what people do is frequently more important than what they say. Speajers often rely on their nonverval behavior to convey information regarding the actual meaning of their verbal messages. When interaction among speakers of different cultures is unsuccessful, the reason often includes different expectations and interpretations of nonverbal behavior. Problems emerge when one interprets other's behavior based on one's own frame of reference
